Workshop Foreman

We have an opportunity for a Workshop Foreman to work in our Wagga Wagga Branch.

In this role you will be required to assist the service manager in allocating jobs, monitoring our apprentices, instructing the technicians as well as carrying out diagnostics on a variety of trucks and trailers.

You will be responsible for ensuring all vehicles are serviced on time and to a high standard while maintaining positive working relationships with the Staff, drivers, Customers, Inland Truck Centres Management and suppliers.

Duties and responsibilities

Allocate and manage workshop repairs

Monitor Apprentices & technicians to ensure work is completed in a timely manner

Carry out fleet service and maintenance requirements

Assist with diagnostics and repairs

Ensure vehicles are scheduled appropriately based on the operation

Test and check repairs and Test Drive Vehicles

Support  and report to the Service Manager

Ensure paperwork and invoices are presented in a timely manner

Ensure compliance with all company and customer processes

Promote and ensure health and safety standards

 

The person we seek

To succeed in this role you will need to be a motivated qualified diesel technician with a HR (or Above) Licence, preferably with some people management experience.

Proven experience in heavy vehicle service & maintenance operations including planning & scheduling, repair order management, Forklift Licence, RMS and Refrigerant licence is highly desirable.

This position will give the right applicant an opportunity to increase their knowledge, expand on their current skill base with the potential of career progression into a management role.

  • Hours required will be 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday with rostered Saturday work and Some overtime will be required.
